High Desert Customs and Collision opened its doors six years ago when Mike Maggart decided it was time to do things his way. After four decades working in automotive body repair and painting, he had seen enough shortcuts, enough rushed jobs, and enough customers left disappointed. He wanted to build a shop where the work spoke for itself.
From day one, the standard has been simple: every repair gets the same attention whether it's a fender bender or a full restoration. No cutting corners. No rushing a paint job to turn a car around faster. Just honest work, done correctly, every time.

Mike brings 40 years of hands-on experience to every vehicle that comes through the shop. He is certified in auto body repair and holds a master certification in automotive painting — credentials that reflect not just time in the trade, but a genuine commitment to doing the work at the highest level.
He is a perfectionist in the truest sense. He will spend the extra hours getting a panel line right, matching a paint color precisely, or correcting something most customers would never notice — because he would notice. That attention to detail is what separates a repair that looks good from one that is done right.
